Hilton Garden Inn
Is located near the central complex, about a 15 minute walk from the terminal building. A shuttle bus is available if required.
Location: ** Around a 15-20 minute walk east of the terminal. A short walk from the hotel is an area of wasteland where you can identify most of the aircraft parked on the Alitalia maintenance area. Exit the hotel and turn right until the road does a u turn and you will see the wasteland in front of you.
Spotting: ** Ask for a high level, odd numbered room for views over terminal 1 and the remote stands. Runway 07/25 is in full view from the window. Anything landing on 16L/34R should taxi in front of you at some point. Any aircraft on Runway 16R/34L can be seen in the distance but flight tracking software would be required to tie up
Photos: * No reports. From the nearby waste ground mentioned above, good shots can be had of aircraft parked on the remote stands.

Welcome Airport Hotel

Location: ** Situated on the western perimeter of the airport The Welcome Inn is a coverted petrol station with around  bedrooms all at ground level. The old forecourt now has a reasonably priced snackfood shop. There is a supermarket just a short walk away however no resteraunts in the immediate vicinity.

Any movents off 34L/16R which is directly in front of the hotel can be easily read off from the above locations. Traffic departing runway 25 can also be read off as it climbs out over the hotel. All other runway movements can be seen, however flight tracking software is required for tie ups.
