Travelodge Birmingham Airport Hotel is located overlooking the Cargo/Exec Terminal on Terminal Road just off theA45. Short taxi ride from the airport and NEC. WIFI in rooms at a charge.Breakfast and evening meals, bar available at hotel other than that short drive or taxi ride to Solihull for more variety. Long stay parking at £7.50per 24hrs. There is a regular 24 hour bus service (X1 bus) to the terminal from a stop just a couple of minutes down the road.

Spotting: ***

Excellent views overlooking airport from even numbered rooms, 5th & 6th floors give unobstructed views of runway and airport terminals can be easily read off with decent bins/scope. Aircraft parked in Exec/Cargoarea out of view. Short walk to crash gate at Exec area to view stuff parked there. Ask for room overlooking airport top floor and request should be granted. Room 604 is a family room and has great views out over the airport. Credit Chris Brindle
