Due to the angle of the hotel it is important that you get the correct rooms. The best reported room is 1050 on the top floor, rooms ending in **40-**50 should do the job. Other excellent rooms are 832/932 and 1032 although any even ending room no higher than 50 should be ok. Ideally you need a room on the 8th floor or above due to the obstructed views created by the monorail. 

Plenty of aircraft can be read off from the room during daylight but flight tracking would be required at night (you can see the types and color schemes of aircraft as the area is well illuminated but cannot read them off at night)

On clear days a range of movements into LaGuardia and JFK can be seen from airport facing rooms.
